Diagnostics
Ultrasound diagnostics
Ultrasound diagnostics of the eye is a non-invasive and precise imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves for a detailed assessment of the structures of the eye and orbit.
Ultrasound diagnostics
What is ultrasound diagnostics?
This diagnostic technique allows examination and analysis of eye structures, especially when standard examinations are not possible due to blurring or other obstacles in the field of vision. Ultrasound helps detect diseases of the retina, conditions inside the eye, and tumors.

Eye ultrasound
Eye ultrasound (B-scan)
Our new-generation Compact Touch ultrasound machine includes a 15 MHz B-probe to increase the quality of B-scans (resolution increased by 30% allows better visualization of eye and orbital structures, and therefore better diagnosis), which the platform performs together with A-scan modes.
Benefits
Why check regularly?
- Painless and safe procedure
- Precise analysis of internal eye structures
- The possibility of diagnosis in the case of clouding of the cornea or lens
- Help in planning surgical interventions
Who is the diagnostics for?
Who should get tested?
Ideal candidates for ultrasound diagnostics are:
- Patients with clouding of the cornea or lens (cataract)
- People with suspected retinal detachment or internal bleeding
- People who have tumors or masses in the eye socket
- People with any condition that interferes with examination of the back of the eye can be evaluated with ultrasound
- In the case of eye injuries, ultrasound should be applied in case of suspicion of the presence of an intraocular foreign body, rupture of the eyeball, detachment of the retina or other internal damage.
- Ultrasound examination of the state of the orbit and eye muscles
