Biography
Mr sci med dr Biljana M. Šćepović
Born in Podgorica in 1972, specialist - ophthalmic surgeon. Works on Tuesdays from 3 PM.
Ophthalmologist with many years of clinical experience in surgical treatment
cataracts. During my practice so far, I have performed over 8000 cataract operations,
with approximately one third being of a complicated nature. He deals with medicine
retina (diseases of the retina), intravitreal application of drugs (anti
-VEGF), laser photocoagulation of the retina, diagnosis of glaucoma as well as
drug, laser and surgical treatment, determination of soft and gas
permeable contact lenses.
During her specialist career, she performed about 12,000 cataract operations,
vitrectomy for retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, hemophthalmus,
endophthalmitis and complications of cataract surgery, glaucoma, drainage installation
Ahmed's valve implant, eye injury, pterygium, blepharoplasty,
eyelid correction and removal of smaller tumors.
Education:
- Finished elementary school and high school in Podgorica with excellent results.
- Graduated from the Russian State Medical University in Moscow in 1997 with an average grade of 9.5.
- Completed her specialization in ophthalmology at the Moscow Ophthalmological Hospital, the educational base of the Russian State Medical University in 2001 with the highest grade (5).
- Received her doctorate at the Academy for Postgraduate Education under the supervision of Professor Jurij Evgenević Batmanov in 2003 on the topic "Repeated antiglaucomatous operations in the anterior zone with the implantation of a collagen implant".
Work experience:
- From 1997 to 2001, she completed a specialist internship at the Moscow Ophthalmological Hospital, the educational base of the Russian State Medical University
- From 2001 to 2003, he worked as an ophthalmologist at the Moscow Ophthalmological Hospital and completed his postgraduate studies.
- From 2003 to 2004, she completed an internship at the JZU Dom zdravlja in Podgorica.
- Since 2005, he has been working as a specialist ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmic Surgery at the Clinic for Eye Diseases of the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
- Since 2011, mentor of ophthalmology specialists at the Clinical Center of Montenegro
- From 2012 to 2016, court expert in the field of ophthalmology
- From 2010 to 2020, and then from 2024, expert associate in the subject of Ophthalmology for the study programs of Medicine and Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica

- Held over 50 lectures as an invited lecturer and an active participant at international and national professional meetings and congresses.
- Member of the organizing committee of the 1st Congress of Ophthalmologists of Montenegro with international participation and the 12th Congress of the Association of Ophthalmologists of Southeast Europe (SEEOS) in Bečići, October 2015.
- President of the Montenegrin Ophthalmological Society from 2018 to 2022
