Mr sci. med. dr Danijela Đurović Raonić
Mr sci. med dr Danijela Đurović Raonić specialist ophthalmologist - ophthalmic surgeon. Born in Podgorica on June 14, 1973, she is the founder of the Dr. Raonic Ophthalmological Center. During her career, she has successfully performed more than 12,000 cataract, glaucoma, drainage implant installation - Ahmed's valve, retinal ablation and vitrectomy for proliferative diabetic retinopathy, hemophthalmos of various etiologies, endophthalmitis, after complications of cataract surgery with a sunken natural or implanted lens, various eye injuries with or without a foreign body in the eye, pterygium with and without autograft, blepharoplasty, application of amniotic fluid, membranes, operations on the position and minor tumors of the eyelids,
Kao fakohirurg do sada je uradila 8500 operacija katarakte fakoemulzifikacijom koju primjenjuje u svom radu od 2006. godine, od čega je uspješno riješila 3500 operacija komplikovanih i najtežih oblika katarakti i 1500 operacija tehnikom ekstrakapsularne esktrakcije katarakte. Bavi se i dijagnostikom, medikamentoznim i laserskim liječenjem glaukoma, medikal retinom (bolestima retine) i intravitrealnom aplikacijom ljekova (anti-VEGF, kortikosteroida), laserfotokoagulacijom retine kod različitih patoloških promjena na očnom dnu i ultrazvukom oka i orbite.
Education:
- She finished elementary school and Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović" in Podgorica, with a diploma in Luča.
- She graduated from the Medical Faculty of the University of Belgrade in 1998 with an average grade of 8.9
- She completed her specialization in ophthalmology with excellent results (5) in 2006 at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade.
- She received her master's degree at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade in 2010 on the topic of glaucoma "The importance of daily oscillations of the eye pressure in the diagnosis and monitoring of the course of primary open-angle glaucoma"
Work experience:
- From 1998 to 1999, she did an internship at the JZU Dom zdravlja in Podgorica.
- From 1999 to 2000, she worked as a general practitioner in the Emergency Medical Service in Podgorica.
- Since 2000, she has been employed at the Clinic for Eye Diseases, Clinical Center of Montenegro as a clinical physician.
- From 2002 to 2006, she performed a specialist internship at the Clinic for Eye Diseases, Clinical Center of Montenegro and the Clinic for Eye Diseases of the University Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade.
- Since 2006, she has been working as a specialist ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmic Surgery at the Clinic for Eye Diseases of the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
- Since 2006, she has been working as a court expert in the field of ophthalmology.
- Since 2011 - mentor to residents in the field of ophthalmology at the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
- From 2011 to 2024 - expert associate in the subject of Ophthalmology, for study programs: Medicine and Dentistry, at the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica

- So far, she has published 63 professional papers in books, national and international magazines and at congresses, where she was the moderator of a number of international as well as national congresses.
- She gave more than 55 lectures, as an invited lecturer and an active participant in international and national scientific and professional gatherings and congresses.
- Active researcher in the international scientific research project: Retinal and Congitive Dysunction in Type 2 Diabetes: Unraveling the Common Pathways and Identification of Patients at risk of Dementia (RECOGNISED), 2020 to 2024
- Member of the organizing committee and Congress of Ophthalmologists of Montenegro with International Participation and the XII Congress of the Association of Ophthalmologists of Southeast Europe (SEEOS), Bečići, October 2015, as well as the organizer of the symposium in the country.
